Kia Ora,
A wonderful day of exploration. What a lovely village. Walked to Anglican Cemetery, Dissidents Cemetery and French Cemetery; walked to lighthouse; walked past many quaint houses and eating spots. Made a reservation at Trading Places for dinner tomorrow night; and made a reservation with the mail run couple on rural delivery route to East Bay Islands for tomorrow; talked to two shop keepers who said that the earthquakes have definitely chased way tourists and caused a lot of destruction here.
By the way, our Top Ten Holiday Park is all downhill to the village. Which means all uphill on the way back. One hundred sixteen steps and then some more climbing.
Going to movie in funky theatre later. Driving.
