Friday 25 February
On ferry on smooth ride to South Island. Watched North Island fade away. Mostly wonderful memories for sure. About to get back outside to look around. Gorgeous day for being on deck.
Went back into Wellington late yesterday afternoon after another long walk on Tony and Olivia’s property. Then listened to two presentations made by Olivia and someone else on the topic of public speaking. Both were excellent and it was fun to see Olivia in her work element when just that morning she had been wearing cow manure-covered boots, feeding the horses and chickens. Went out to dinner to fabulous place called Marlborough (think that was the one!). Delish.
Now headed to South Island for twelve days of Camper van-ing. Picked up our camper van this morning, returned rental car and had time to completely settle in in the van before the three hour ride to get to Picton. Nice and cozy! From there we food shop, then find a Top Ten campground to hook up for power, shower and sleep.
Am trying to figure out way to make reading posts and comments easier. Have heard that you hav to look through all the photos in order to do so....hmmmmm.... Make photos smaller has also been suggested. Hmmmm...
Kia Ora
ps Spent first night in Richmond, arriving with enough time to spare to do the fastest before-the-shop-shuts food shop ever! Would have slept like a baby in our loft bed had someone I know not hogged the blankets!
Vadin, Happy 3rd ..... Loved the fb photos!
Cool sculptures all over Wellington.
Neat, huh?!!
our 'home' is next to semi, one roof vent . See lamb??
Bye-bye North Island... Sigh...

First camping experience in our van - Richmond
Hey, that van camping reminds me of my childhood, except it was 20 below and down-sleeping bags weren't on my father's radar. It looks beautiful there, glad you're having fun.
